The Corkman is a 150 year old hotel that has loads of character. The hostel is homely, with a cosy TV lounge, spacious, well supplied kitchen, laundry facilities and very comfy rooms with many personal touches. We offer 6 and 12 bed mixed dormitories and a 6 bed female dormitory. We also offer a varied Book Swap, ideal for expanding the mind while on your travels. On-street parking is available.

Female Dorm
Lovely bright corner room with lots of space close to kitchen and bathroom. This room is nice and quiet, has secure lockers and plenty of storage. It's situated beside the kitchen and bathroom and is near enough to management offices and living quarters to ensure security at all times.
 
6 Bed Mixed Dorm
Cosy room at the back of the building, overlooking quiet laneways. Close to the bathroom and laundry, this room also has it's own hand basin. The room has a small seating area, secure lockers and lots of storage. Suitable for solo travellers or small groups.
12 Bed Mixed Dorm
This large, airy room is perfect for larger groups as well as lone travellers who want to meet new people. There are secure lockers as well as plenty of storage.
Kitchen
Clean, spacious kitchen, filled with all you could need to prepare meals during your stay. With a large stove top, plenty of preparation areas, storage for food etc (shelves and refrigerators), this kitchen is really the heart of the home. We provide free tea, coffee and sugar during your stay, so feel free to relax with a cuppa at the huge dining table. We provide free tea, coffee and milk, you provide the sparkling conversation!
The Corkman Irish Pub
The Corkman Pub below us provides a full menu of award winning meals, Mon-Thurs, 12pm-2.30pm, 6pm-9pm, Fri 12pm-2.30pm, 5pm-8.30pm. The bar offers a number of meal and drink deals, including Happy Hours twice weekly.
Thursday is the night for all things Irish, with special offers on a number of meals and drinks. Musicians travel from far and wide to take part in our famous live music session and the craic is mighty into the wee hours. Fáilte isteach agus lig do scigh!
Reception
We are ready to welcome you and show you some true Irish hospitality, and also provide you with valuable local information so you see and do everything during your stay here. Each room has a guide to the hostel, including hostel facilities and locations of the nearest amenities.

Internet access is available at reception and Wifi is available throughout most of the hostel. Cards can be purchased at reception.

We are also partnered with Cheap AZ Travel, a locally based travel agent, who can help you in deciding your activities both in Melbourne and when you choose to move on.

The reception is beside our kitchen, which is a great place to sit with a cup of tea and meet your fellow guests.

We are NOT A 24 HOUR RECEPTION. Check in time is between 11am and 10pm only. If your arrival time changes from the one given, please keep us informed.
