A. The Corkman is located in Carlton, on the corner of Leicester and Pelham streets.

Q. What is included in the price for a night?
|

A. The nightly price includes accommodation, hot showers, all bed linen and duvets, free coffee, tea and sugar

Q. Is there a curfew?
|
 |
A. No, there is no curfew in Corkman - guests are provided with their own room keys and main entrance security fob once they have checked in. We are situated in a residential area, however, and so ask that our guests respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum at night times.

Q. What are check-in and checkout times?

A. Office hours are from 11am – 10pm daily. NO EXCEPTIONS. Check out time is 10.30am. Check in opens at 11am and closes at 10pm.

Q. What methods of payment are accepted?

A. We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards and have EFTPOS facilities. Of course we also accept good old hard cash!!

Q. Are there parking facilities available?

A. There is on-street parking available outside the hostel.
|

Q. Is there a bar?
|
 |
A. Yes, the hostel is situated above a fully licensed pub that is open Mon-Fri till approx. 1am (depending on crowd), and the first Sunday of each month.

Q. Does the hostel offer meals?
|

A. The hostel does not provide meals. However, the Corkman Pub below us provides a full menu of delicious meals Mon-Fri. Hostel residents can avail of a number of special meal and drink deals by showing their Resident Card! Melbourne is the food capital of Australia (self-professed…) and the choices are endless. Lygon Street Precinct is minutes from the door, Chinatown and Little Greece not much further. Also, the Queen Victoria Market is on our doorstep, where you can pick up all manner of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese and baked goods. Our spacious kitchen is all yours to prepare your own meals. You are never far from a good meal in The Corkman!

Q. How do I get to the Hostel?
|
 |
A. If coming from the airport take the Skybus shuttle into the City ($16 one way or $26 return). Skybus will stop at the Southern Cross Terminal and from there you can take the FREE Skybus Minibus transfer to The Corkman Hostel.
If walking from the CBD walk straight up Elizabeth Street until you get to the Victoria Street Junction by Queen Victoria Markets. From their head across and up Leicester Street. Just two blocks up we are on the corner of Leicester and Pelham Street.
Trams number 19, 57 and 59 can take you up Elizabeth Street to Queen Victoria Market, but from there you will have to walk up Leicester Street.
Situated above the Corkman Irish Pub, the hostel entrance is down the Pelham Street side of the building. You can also enquire at the bar for any help.
